Today I wasn’t supposed to start work until 10am, because I’ve worked overtime. I had my alarm set for 7.25 (yes, I live a fair way away from Melbourne) to wake up. It went off, I had the usual ‘mmmm comfy bed’ thoughts and rolled over for five minutes. I got up ten minutes later, had a shower, went on my way to work, except the whole way something was sort of nagging me. Then I realised as I walked into work, I hadn’t slept in for another ten minutes, I’d actually slept in for ten minues and one hour. God, I’m good. Now I have to work late night on Friday night of all nights to make up for it.

I was in a bookstore today and saw something that made me smile. A woman was buying a book, something along the lines of How To Manage Your Credit Card Debts or something. And how did she pay for this book? By credit card.

My younger sister is about to have a music theory exam, so we’ve got these pages of sheet music stuck everywhere so she can learn them. In the toilet, she’s stuck the song “I Saw Three Ships” (the Christmas carol) on the back of the door, so that’s become the new theme of the toilet. It’s bad - every time I go in there now, I get this song in my head for ages. Come Christmas when everyone’s chanting it in my ears, I’ll be ready to go mad.

Once again, I’ve had problems with a Cherry Ripe bar (see July 25 entry). Today at work I pulled out a Cherry Ripe:
Female employee: Ooooh, Cherry Ripe. Can I have some?
Me (wincing at the large amount she’s pulled off already): Uh, sure.
Ms Superiority: Ah, I love Cherry Ripe.
Four other employees: Cherry Ripe? Oh, can I have some?
Me: Okay. Does anybody else want a piece of my Community Cherry Ripe bar?
