Occasionally, Foxtel will unlock some of their channels - usually the movie channels - as a special promotion over a weekend. Since last night, we noticed that the movie channels are currently free to view (we don’t normally subscribe to them).

The odd thing was, I couldn’t find any scrap of information about a Foxtel promotion this weekend anywhere. I’ve just checked some forums and apparently they’re actually having some technical issues, and all channels are currently unlocked in error.

Normally, in cases such as this, I’ll suffer Customer Service Reflux, when all the vitriol and angry customers I have to deal with on a daily basis can be regurgitated at some poor mindless call centre pleb, over an admittedly small problem.

But if the error means I can watch free porn - in particular, Sex Court, the porn version of Judge Judy which transcends trashy to the point of high comedy, where the guilty party of a crime such as “he doesn’t give me head!” usually receives a sentence involving topless lapdances on a king-size bed, which appears out of nowhere in the middle of the courtroom - in cases like this, Foxtel can make all the sweet little errors it wants.

[Edit: dammit, they’ve realised we’re all getting free porn, and temporarily replaced the porn channel with a feed of the Fashion Channel. Which, at first sight, admittedly appears to be some sort of eating disorder fetish film]
