I'm Jeb - 26, living in Melbourne. I've been with my dude Adam for nearly six years now, which is scary. He's an ex-state champion kickboxer, so I have learnt to appreciate a leg flying out of a doorway into my chest completely at random as "humour".
Neither of us really fit into the gay scene and don't really bother with it. I'm really into heavy music and am about to start learning bass so I can start a band with some mates (admittedly, to reinterpret 90s pop songs as metal - there's at least some stereotypical gay in me).
A long time ago I wrote on a website called World Wide Jeb. This was back when the internerdweb was a novelty and only true fucking geeks had web journals. Being 19 years old and innocent, it got me fired from one job for writing about how I wanted to kill some people I worked with, and in trouble at another. However, I did meet Adam and plenty of other cool friends through that site, so it was good for something.
World Wide Jeb is a stupid name, hence this new website.
Have I mentioned alcohol? Alcohol is tops. Seeing live bands, that is also tops. Seeing live bands when you're completely smashed, and so excited by the gig that you go and piss down the stairs of very public town halls, steal hubcaps and almost break your leg... maybe not so tops but a bit of a laugh.
I barrack for the Geelong Cats, who play in the AFL. If you are from Australia you are already laughing. This is also probably not the best time to admit that my dream band is to have brutal hardcore metal with Natalie Imbruglia, Dannii Minogue and Holly Valance as harmonising backup singers.
I think I like 90s metal much more than current popular metal, which may possibly be my first step to becoming Old.
My secret shame is regular guilty viewing of Deal or No Deal. So sue me.
